Hi all.

Having just got hold of a nice, tidy van I want to look after her better than I have all my other vans, starting with putting Protecta Kote in the rear.

Now, at the very real risk of sounding stupid, does it drill cleanly; ie, would I be better off drilling the holes for my tank frame before I paint the bottom, obviously leaving the holes clear, or paint it, let it dry and then drill?

I was just a bit worried that it would tear as opposed to drill cleanly.

it can tear although not sure it would drilling a hole, if it was me i would drill the holes first mainly because you can put a good coat of it around the hole after making sure your not leaving any bare metal.

I would drill first so the protector coat will seep through the the holes and seal them. Drill sligtly larger to allow for this.

When I've had a new system fitted,I have applies protects cote ,a couple of days before giving it time to cure,then the tank and frame can be placed and fitted on dry floor

Drill holes. Use a metal primer if you have any. Then protectacote.

Try and get rid of all metal shavings. As they will rust.
