The awarding authority are looking to appoint an experienced building cleaning services contractor for the School.

Other information:
The contract will initially be for a 3 year period commencing the 1st June 2014. The School will retain the right to award extensions to this contact which will consist of 2, 12 month periods thus
resulting in a maximum contract term of 5 years. Extensions will be awarded at the School discretion.
The School has a total area of 8,196 m2, comprising of a main building which was opened in 2010 and a separate sport hall building on the same grounds.
The School has 80 members of staff and 530 learners who occupy the buildings during term time. During non-term time this number significantly reduces to circa 10 members of staff, although in the
past the School has held a summer school provision during one week of the summer holiday.
The service is currently provided by the local authority and as such TUPE regulations will apply to this contract. Interested contractors will be required to demonstrate their experience in managing
the transfer of staff in line with TUPE regulations. At this point in time it is unknown if any of the affected members of staff are members of the local government pension scheme.
The procurement exercises will be conducted over two stages: 1. Pre-qualification stage, 2. Invitation to Tender stage. Details of the specification will be provided within the invitation to tender
document. The Invitation to tender document will be issued to the companies who are successful in being shortlisted via the pre-qualification stage.
Companies who are shortlisted to the Invitation to Tender stage will be required to provide a cost for delivering the service which will be fully inclusive of all costs, including pension costs, were
applicable. The School are looking to award a contract on the basis that contract costs are fixed for the initial 3 year terms.
