So what about if someone comes on board.
Stays for (say) 6 months, then decides to go it alone.
Can they leave?

Or

Say a fella has £2,200 of his own work but wants to get up to £3k.
Would you supply £1k's work to leave him £800? Like a top up?

Franchise agreement would cover the possibility of 'someone' starting and trying to 'pinch' your customers.

They can leave after 6 months but lose all there investment and the customers revert back to you. (or a new franchisee taking the outgoings place)

I would not top up. They work under your name and to your working methods cleaning YOUR customers. Someone with that amount of customers would not be interested in a franchise IMO.

Forgot to say. Your franchise agreement will cover them starting up on there own. The agreement is to protect you and your business as a franchiser.

Fair enough.
Thanks for that.
Still can't see why someone would want to do it but each to their own.

Started from scratch in 2010. Built up name and customers for 2 years. This year started the 2 vans. I have taken a dip in earnings as customers are supplied to new vans. Total 3 vans working in 2013 supporting 3 families.
It helps to live in Redcar, have a look on google earth at the industry surrounding us.
We have a good number of 'once every 2 weeks' wfp customers. DIRTY!
