help with my pro 2 system
« on: March 21, 2006, 05:13:29 pm »
bought the ionic pro 2 system three weeks ago and is excellant the only problem i have found out now is i am running out of water too quick,it only holds 200 litres and i am finding i really need about 300-400 litres.i bought the machine to do tops only but more customers are asking me to do tops and bottom, insted of lasting me 4-5 hours it is now lasting about 3 hours, the machine takes about 5-6 hours to fill,is there any body out there who as bought this trailer system and have they modified there system so you can fill the trailer up when its empty,i have been told you can modify the trailer but they will not tell me how to do it,i am not good with diy so will not attempt to do it myself or does anybody know a professional person or company who could do it for me,the company i bought the system from will not help as it is not company policy.thank you.robert

I Have never looked the guts of a Pro-2 trailer, but I would imagine that you have a tank, pump and RO unit.

You could remove the whole RO unit form the trailer put it in your back garden attached to a 1000litre IBC or even 2x 210 litre water butts, add a submersible pump to fill the trailer whenever you need a top-up. The trailer would then just have a tank, pump and batteery.

This would really be a very simple solution as you would always have enough water on hand.

I built my own trailer system and the three things I would recomend are fitting a varistream flow controller, second is getting a brush with smaller jets if you are using the ionics pole or getting smaller jets to fit the existing brush (harder to do) and third make your water into buts or an IBC tank then transfer it to your trailer. that way you will always have water at home to top up when required. Each of the above will make a small difference and all three will keep you going all day!

ionic will not help, the tank is baffled and someone told me to drill hole through the lid into the baffled tank in one of the four corners as the tank is in four parts, like a cross.add a screw lid and fill up when it is empty, sounds easy but i would not attempt it myself in case i damaged it,this is the reason i asked the question in case somebody as bought this sytem and modify there,s.its a shame ionic will not help but maybe they are hoping i will upgrade.thank you for the help regards robert.
