« on: November 22, 2013, 09:30:44 am »
I have ordered some bits online from gutter cleaning systems,
I have tried to call them on the number on the website 01603400679  but no one answers the phone,
has anyone got another number for them,

Not used them before and getting a little worried now,

I bought a system from them last week. No problem what so ever. They did have a problem with their telephone so I emailed them and got a quick response.

They have a bit of "fogwill-itis".

When they are good they are very good, when they are snowed under/victims of their own success/having one off/having a brew/gone fishing/sleeping/shut up shop/not enough staff or phone lines for no good reason they are irritating.

I have a system from them which works fine. I emailed to ask the price of a downpipe clearing hook thingy attachment - no reply. I phoned, no reply. It's cheap and cheerful for a reason. I'll probably make my own and I haven't gone back for a gutter camera - just asked DtM to research the net for something suitable which we adapted.

A bit of persistence will pay off.

Are these any good?

Heavy poles, cheap plastic base, the brace at the top bends so difficult to adjust and the filter is too close to the inlet so it gets clogged up easily.

That is they! You get what you pay for. If you want to make a business from guttervaccing then no. If you want it as a useful add on for domestics then it's fine.

I use a home made carbon fishing pole with two attachments - a spike to clear any stubborn stuff and DtM runs along with the vac, quick check with the camera stuck on the fishing pole and Bob's yer uncle!
