My Pure Freedom reel  ( the solid blue pro one ) spindle had broken, does anyone know how to replace them, is it complicated ?

Replaced spindle on mine last week. Its an hours job roughly, undoing a few nuts and bolts and replacing.

Let us know if you need any further info.

Pure freedom were on the ball with sending out replacement spindle, which I think has been upgraded.

I heard they are plastic spindles.a few guys have had problems with these reels.I bet they are no good for hot water.

In general, Pure Freedom are excellent, but I have the earlier version if that reel and it is carp. I should have sent it back. Poor design.

They are plastic, and damaged the grey plastic elbow that connects to the hose, but will look at ordering the new ones tomorrow, just unsure how to install them !

A  new reel is on my list for Christmas. I must need to free the hose from slipping between the reel and the spindle at least 10 times every day.

Im on the waiting list for the new spindle and to be honnest i am sick of them
iv been through two spindles for my "professional" hose reel (the solid blue one)

The day I ran hot water through it, the centre spindle connecter loses its thread and leaks
so you come back to a flooded van!! not impressed at all. Im now still waiting for a new spindle to be made,  but more to the point it would be nice to be told whats happening and kept in the loop!!!!

Anyone else waiting for one?

I phone pure freedom in June regarding an extendable boom they were making to fit on hose reels, I was promised pictures of it. 3 emails and 4 phone calls later they still haven't supplied me any information they keep saying they will be ready in a couple of weeks.

I've given up on them now I won't be spending my money with them in future.

I know what you mean, im happy with there products apart from the hose reel, but the customer service is shocking really, but it is just my humble view.

Total rubbish!Got rid of mine as quick as i could.Terrible design and a nightmare to repair.

tom buy a radashe koreel hi vis 100 reel.i got mine from corwoods at the same time as my heater.i bit pricey but its bullet proof with all stainless steel fittings.easily handles the hot water with zero leaks!im well happy with mine.

Cheers mate il have a look, just don't want to spend loads when iv already got a reel that should do the job, but I still haven't heard anything from them so I may well have too.
