Painted metal frames
« on: October 22, 2013, 10:28:03 am »
Went look at a job this morning condition of paint work is bad and their is a lot of glass similar to Georgian frames so could be a nightmare for white runs .

They dont want a first class job as the building will be empty in the next year so is only a one off , Not sure whether to decline but it could possibly help me gain more work . Mike

Hi Mike,

Every job you do is your advertising board. If you take it on and it doesn't turn out right then you won't get any 'credits' as people will be critical of the result and not the reason.

If you do the job for whatever reason, then I wouldn't advertise it. From experience, you are usually being 'used' with one offs, nothing has ever come from the one offs we have done.

Success is 1% inspiration, 98% perspiration and 2% attention to detail!

The older I get, the better I was ;)

IMO you have your answers mate regardless of the frames... so long as you get what you want out of the job

The guy making the decision just wants them clean , I will make it clear that they will not come up good but i think he is fully aware just dont want to do it and nit to be happy with end result . Mike
