I bought a storm and it was delivered on Thursday I used it Friday and it was great but I noticed at the end of the job the psi was dropping very lightly I thought I needed to clean my wand filter today I used it and the psi was dropping like mad I could see it on the gauge I pressed the trigger and it would drop staight away from 300 psi down to 0 then I let go of the trigger and it would start to go back up I had to use a different machine to do the job which was not great as it's only 2 days old when I got home I tried it again this time I set it to 400psi and when I pulled the trigger it dropped staight away to 200 psi I turned the pump up to 600 and it dropped to 200 I turned it down to 200 and it dropped to 100 ish there is something wrong with it I can't ring clean smart till Monday so if anyone could help that would be great I did check filter nothing wrong with that it was not block it only been used one on a small job and then for ten minutes this morning and it's fu-ked not happy at all.

sounds like an airlock or a kink in a pipe coming from the pump.

Open the machine up and make sure none of the pipes are being trapped or kinked. Then check for an airlock with the red priming hose.

Yes, sounds like an air lock, did you use the red pipe to prime the pump?

Make sure the mushroom cover on the water intake pipe in the clean tank is not pushed on to far as that has been a problem for me in the past, it just needs to pushed on a little bit. Also the little mushroom cover can easily get blocked with dirt so make sure it is clean. I would bet though that you have pushed it on too far.

I have also in the past when emptying the the clean tank of remaining water and left it running a little bit too long and the pump ran dry.  When next using it there was more of an air lock than usual and on this occasion on speaking to Matt at Cleansmart he suggested lying the machine on its back (obviously) with no water in it, which will help bleed out the air lock, might need up to 30 mins.

The mushroom is clean it's not to close when attached to the pipe the machine has been on its back for way more than 30 minutes primed it properly I opened it up when I got home and the pipes looked fine. On the job I put the priming hose on 5 time to get rid of the air lock on 2 of those goes it the water hardly came out of the priming hose. Should I run the priming hose for a long time today how long do you think, also when I did the job yesterday it worked for about 20 minutes and then started to drop in pressure

Sounds like you have air in the system. Are you turning the pressure down low when priming? These pumps won't prime if the pressures not turned down low.

Yes pressure is low when priming I have done what was shown in the DVD and it was working fine for the first 20 mins then dropped logic says its a air lock but it will not go.

I'd try again and leave it to prime a few minutes. If still no good have to give Cleansmart a ring monday, if the pressure's erratic it's most likely just air though.

Are you using the wand that came with the machine?

Stick the prime hose into a vac hose or waste tank intake with the pump running.

It's called force priming. There is a PowrFlite video on YouTube that shows how to do it.

I have a storm and if you have a small amount of air getting into the system ie a loose jubilee clip it will keep having to prim the pump to get rid of the air !

I will check the clips and do the vac hose trick and see what happens I am using a prochem 2 jet wand with 02s in it does this matter.

Just wanted thank everyone that replyed it was a air lock and it's all sorted I want to say a couple of things, one is that I think the storm is a fantastic machine the build quality is great and the power is first class for a portable the air lock was annoying but I think it was from where the machine was delivered and just needed a run through I primed it for about 5 minutes and it's been fine today, second thing is that the service from clean smart has been very good so far, Matts a nice bloke and really cares about these machine. I won't go into detail as I am not one for slating people but I had a different machine not that long ago that I bought from another surplyer and had a lot of problems with the second there where problems this surplyer showed his true colours I did how ever get my money back for that machine but it wasn't pretty. So buying a machine is only half of it you need to have good back up support, Matt rang me today and checked if the machine was ok now so that was really nice. I will report back in a few weeks to tell everyone how it is going hopefully it will be ok.

No I won't do that what I will say is I was just about to file for court and then all of a sudden I got my money back and the thing is I would have rather lost the money and more just to prove my point I now for a fact that there have been a couple of people that gave up to early and lost out over the same problems with the same company.
