About 95% of my customers offer me tea, and I almost always accept. 
It's a great opportunity to chat, and win their confidence.
Less than 5% also offer biscuits though!

always get tea rare to get biscuits...................
tend to get more tea/tips etc in council houses rather than posher gaffs!!!!!
mind you got one wealthy housewife i got to for car valeting rather than carpets,
very very freindly, very very attractive, potential milf situation.......!!!!!!

It's always nice when they offer.

What I get a lot of though is talkers. I like to listen to custies but after 10 minutes I want to get on, sadly some don't take the hint and pin me down to continue their tale of woe. I even say I've got to get on but some just carry on talking.

Always accept a cuppa as its a good chance to get them chatting.

Sometimes it goes straight into the waste tank when they're not looking.


Nicest brew was from a fella in Stratford.  He and his house were immaculate and more stylish than I'll ever be so I shouldn't have been surprised when a tray with a cafetiere, cup & saucer and a selection of 'fancy' biscuits on a little plate.

One of my customers, can't remember who it was, once spent a day at a house and he and his helper were offered lunch by the old couple who lived there. Lovely sandwiches, tea etc. Lo and behold a week later he got an invoice in the post for, I think, £17.50 for the lunch. Think he has it framed on his wall.

I've been offered sandwiches a few times and accepted on larger domestics, rare though.

I have to agree that ones with the posh houses are the ones less likely to offer a drink.Its as if its beneath them to brew up for a tradesman.Always worst are the ones who brew for themselves and not offer you one

I caused a row a few weeks ago. Lazy woman just watching TV, husband turned up and asked if I had been offered a cuppa and I said no. He went in the living room and started giving her grief. Gave me £10 tip when I left.

I'd say about a third of my customers offer biscuits or food I bet they think I'm malnourished saying that saves me going to the super market a penny saved is a penny earned as they say.

Guilty of that one myself,have had some dire cups of t,milky water.
Got offered breakfast yesterday,that was a first,refused that though.
Today I was given a half pound jar of honey from my custies bees.
An x fireman,who messed up his back cutting someone from a smash on the A14,really nice guy.

Often get bootlegs of beer and wine which is a bit futile to me but I take it with a smile and give it the wife as a present she thinks I'm an old romantic.

I only have strong coffee from customers , as the only person who can make me the "correct" cup of tea, is me !

Some houses I have cleaned in though I wound not even use their loo , never mind have a drink from them
