Backpack charging
« on: September 14, 2013, 09:21:20 pm »
Fitted a new battery to my backpack today, cost risen from about 20 pounds to around 36. hope its a better battery!
Anyway connected it up ok and put it on charge, red light came on charger to start then went out and at the moment no light is showing.
Previously the red light would stay on whilst it was on charge.
Anybody familiar with the backpack charger? is it right that the light on the charger goes out whilst charging and does it turn green when fully charged.
I did test the battery and it was showing 12+ volts.
Thanks guys.

thanks jp. I got up this morning and the green light was on. Am going to see how it goes tomorrow, but taking the old battery, charged up just in case.
Mines a WCW one too. I've had two now and very satisfied with them.
I use them all the time for my upstairs work.

Thanks very much, I have bought at a farm supplier down the road at 15 but thought I'd try a proper battery for the backpack. Its now charging ok, red when going on charger, green in morning.
I did notice that they reckon it will pump over 400 litres on one charge so it must be a superior battery.
Nice to have a battery that lasts all day now!
