I have been asked to do this rug which is 100% cotton and quite thin. It has been suggested to me that dry cleaning would be best but the customer doesn't want to pay the £88 quoted.

I have been given the go head (in writing) to try and clean it without liability. I'm given to understand that these things don't respond well to HWE, so I was wondering.....Dynamall??

Whether your suppose to or not  ... i'v done plenty with HWE        carefully though .

If your really unsure and worried , try dry compound cleaning ,
far safer and the results may well be acceptable .

HWE it. But check It for colour fastness.

the only problem is it is flimsy so needs 2 men  to clean it or do it on your knees with your handtool.

They clean well but the the edges will ripple due to the light weight and the stitching around the edges.

If you clean it with hwe have a sheet of plyboard handy to flatten it down again when its dry.

I find they dont normally clean that well with other methods,.

OK, so for prespay I have Standard, HD, SPM and Fusion 8, M Power or some Multi Pro. Could rinse with FF rinse or Liquid High Heat.

Any prefernces? 

Out of interest, would Dynamall be any good or is this not apropraite.

Easy rug to clean so se anything BUT it will ripple if wet. I would pass rippled rugs dont look good

Cleaned loads and loads of these. If you look on the back they have a stitched on border. Get that wet and you might have problems but you would have to go some.

Test the red first with whatever you want to clean it with, SPM is what I would use, and wand it. If you want to be ultra careful just go round the outside with a cfr hand tool instead of using you wand.

It will still ripple a bit but lay flat when dry.
