membrane problems
« on: September 14, 2013, 08:59:08 pm »
Has any one had any problem with the pure water products membranes.

When i purchased the system in 2010 it was coming out at 12 so the resin was producing 2500 to 3000+ liters per resin change

Got 3 new ones last july which only came out at 29. now does less than 1000 ltrs per resin change

3 new ones this year out at 37, this was july, now coming out at 52. now 500 ltrs per resin change

theres a few of us who are having the same problem.

Our water from the tap is between 250 and 390, the membrannes should deal with 97% i have been told, so sholud be coming out the ro at around 12.

is it the membranes ?

any help would be very welcome

thanks

Who ever told you 97% is not right. Manufactores only claim 10%. on a R/o. You will have a change in water out of the tap and also no all membranes are the same.
If your membrane is struggling to bring the TdS down the resin use will go a lot faster as it is doing a job beyond its scope.
