Alternatives to Paypal
« on: August 31, 2013, 03:37:31 pm »
Transferring Paypals credits to my business account, end of the month and all that.
Paypal email saying money sent, paypal email saying account under investigation and not to send the item, wtf
Have rang them twice but only seem to be able to talk to a machine and the emails just send me round in circles.
It also seems to take 72 hours now to transfer my money into the bank not the 2 hours it used to be

Are there any alternatives that are any better because once this 30 day investigation is done, they can do one

I think it's the same in UK as here. You have to register the PayPal account as a business account at the start. That allows more transactions as a private account without raising the alarms at PayPal of money laundering or summat.

As far as I know, we can have upto €7K go through our account every month without it being investigated. When you've proven your business accounts and tax reg etc, it gets easier.

We hardly use it now though, as we found it too expensive for what you get.

Sorted and yes it was my mistake.
I transfered the balance into an old personal ebay account and thats what raised the investigation, why it should I have no idea.
Managed to get it back and transferred into the right account within the 2 hours.

Thanks for your replies though.

surely with the likes of gocardless you end up paying twice, once by them, 1% and then by your bank for accepting direct debits ( business accounts )
