Cartridge pen ink
«

Got a job next were an ink cartridge from a pen has burst and gone on synthetic carpet.
Is this likely to be a problem to come out,or will it just flush out?
Thanks
Wayne

Wayne on incidents like this it is impossible to second guess the outcome. Attempted removal is a job and should be charged for whether the stain comes out or not. You can try it and not charge if it does not come out, thats ok if you like working for nowt but it might get you some brownie points.
It may just flush out, I would use something like Champion or Ultrapac. It may have also solution dyed the fibres. You won't know till you try but just pre-qualify with customer and make no promises.

Thanks John, the job is a full house clean, not just a stain removal,so I wont be going for nothing even if it doesnt come out.Pretty sure its a PP so maybe it will flush out.
Would you not attempt using solvent spotters? My main worry using them is if it spreads.

Isoproanol is the best product for use on ink. Cartridge in is just the same as fountain pen ink. Ball point ink has slightly different properties. I mix a stain remover myself with the main ingredient being white vinegar that is effective on ball point. It should not present any problems on a synthetic pile.

If you’re going to saturate it then a water claw would be beneficial
