I'm trying to get a better understanding of the differences here-

Powerburst - Prochemm says enzyme free, good for heavily soiled carpet eg. greasy restaurant carpet & traffic lanes with high build up of grease.

Enzall - Chemspec say enzyme pre spray, good for the removal of the toughest protein greases, oils, and soils typically found in food service, hospitality, healthcare, and the home.

Reading the above, the conclusion is that they're both good in similar circumstances - would that be right? I have been using Poweerburst and was thinking of giving the Enzall a go but not sure if it would be worthwhile.

Just work in a different way, you nedd to give more time, far more time for enzimatic presprays.

If you had both products with you, what factors would influence your decision to choose one over the other?

Enzall is great on bad odours, i.e. vomit, urine etc. . I also find its good to reduce urine stains. Also good on soot and filtration marks. Heavy grease /black top and a few other nasties.

If the carpet is just minging but without the things above then its PB.

Given the choice I would chose PB

I believe that enzymes are more fragile and the catalystic effect can be adversely affected by  external curcustances, eg: heat & mixing with other chemicals

PB is old school detergent chemistry, pretty much  Bullet  proof. Not really effected by fannying about

would you use that mix on dark colour carpets,is nt oxibrite just meant for light colours?

You could if organic soils were a problem.

I personally would use Enzall in that situation.

Lindsay Russel from HydroKleen posted a side by side comparison of Enzall & Powerburst on a meat packing factories office carpets.

As most of the soiling was organic soils the Enzall had the edge.

I have allways returned to enzall when doing blacktop or heavily organic soiled carpets, provided it's left to dwell & rinsed correctly I find it does a superior job to powerburst in those situations.
