I have used Releasit in 2 ways. First was in tank and straight extract followed by brush & towel

The other is on the video on this page. http://www.cleaningsystems.co.uk/product/673/rota_brush

Hydrox and Punch have an upholstery dilution on the bottle.

If  have a foamer sprayer that will help get better yield.
Ours was on the van when I shot the video.

I suppose there comes a point if the upholstery is that soiled, you would use a regular method of HWE.
The whole point to using a product such as Releasit on Upholstery is to limit the amount of moisture.
Here is an example...

You have a sofa to clean and the cushions are quite dirty but the frame isnt, the sides and back of the sofa can therefore benefit using a low moisture cleaning approach and the heavier soiled areas get cleaned using HWE.

From the range Punch is designed for greasy soil and can be used as a Pre-spray, shampoo and a rinse. So around a dirty chair could be used in each of these ways for the different soil levels present. It contains Soileze which will leave residual protector behind.

Hydrox is in the acid side of the pH scale and contains an oxidiser so may be a more useful product on light colours and flat weaves especially cotton.

You need to decide whether or not soil levels will require you to rinse out.
We use Encap more for large volume commercial upholstery like auditoriums, cinemas etc.

If you work on a lot of finer fabrics then you might want to give Chemspec Fast Drying Upholstery Shampoo a try as this is still in my opinion the best product for this application.

Cleaned a load of seats in a social club and used dynamll, the seating came up well, but  a lot of complants about the  smell       i was invited to the presentation that night and alot of negitive comments about the smell (i think its has a nice clean smell ) i think it would have been better left for a day and in that case could have used HWE

Have used Dynamall, Surround and for the first time Releasit yesterday!

Dynamall  - IMHO i like the smell of and like the results it gives “although you can become sick of the smell after some time”.

Surround - IMHO hated the smell and not overly impressed with the results.

Releasit - IMHO LOVED IT! There is no REAL smell except for Punch! which smells great as it is Oz Tea Tree! Results also VERY impressive! Note to self to get a Cimex or Orbot ASAP.

So for me it would be Releasit every time ;-)
