Which PDA for pocket George?
« on: August 06, 2013, 04:22:06 pm »
Over the next few weeks I'll be adding my round to George and I want to use the mobile version on a PDA.

I know absolutely nothing about PDA's, have never owned one. Any recommendations are appreciated. It will be used solely for George and nothing else.

Thanks in advance.

hi danny i use a PALM TX which has bluetooth so easy to hotsync PDA when i get in from work.i press one button and it automatically updates george in mins and loads my next days work.great for cutting down on paperwork.it also updates debtlist.

i wish id got one years ago.its so easy to use!you can get one for about £15-£20  second hand on ebay although i bought mine brand new a few months ago for £200.

i also bought a bluetooth dongle for £2-50 to plug into laptop.

you need to download the palm desktop and george configurations program first.

most PALM pocket PDA s work with george apart from the really early ones.

hope this helps

you dont need to be in an area with a signal with a PDA either michael.also no ongoing monthly payments like aworka.also i dont want my work on my smartphone.i prefer a separate device! ;) :) :)

Thanks Daz, this is exactly the answer I was after. I definately don't want my round software on my iPhone, I want it completely seperate. I've had a play with George in the past and was quite happy with the workflow of the software.

I'll have a look on eBay later on!

Off to Spain on Friday for a couple weeks so I'll sort it when I get back!

Cheers!!

Thanks for the offer Daz, I'll no doubt be asking more questions over the next few weeks. :)
