I have just bought a proper booster pump for my mains tap that brings my PSI up to 80,I know that my H5 membrane on my 4040 is designed for low water pressure but will it matter as I don't see any difference on the tank filling any quicker any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've just replaced my h5 with a h4 slightly cheaper to buy, slightly slower water production and less waste to the drain. Might be a better alternative to those who only run a couple of vans with lower water quantity needs

test how much pure water its producing with the pump on then off... youl get the answer.

The HF5 is capable of handling this increased pressure from the pump as long as it does not exceed about 110psi.

What you may notice is an increase in purity of the product water. I would have thought that you would have also seen an increase in quantity - you may need to adjust your waste valve slightly so that the ratio is set-up correctly.

Just tested my 4040 r/o with hf5 membrane and no booster pump.

water pressure at tap 45psi.
tap tds 97
tds from r/o before di vessel 1.
tds at waste from r/o 145.
producing 3 litres pure to 4 litres waste per minute.
water temperature at tap 18 degrees C
