microbore with fan jets
« on: August 05, 2013, 05:29:21 pm »
Recently bought a new brush with fan jets fitted for a change, I like them but find they work much more effectively and better when used with my backpack on full than connected to the van mount (approx 60 m of microbore and 100 psi 5 lpm vyair pump). When used from the van mount even on full flow they don't have enough pressure to fan properly, act more like pencil jets .
I don't want to change from microbore as I like it and am used to it, so that leaves the pump. Would a 7 or 10 lpm pump improve things ? (I do also use a flow controller )
Thanks
Simon

You may need to adjust the cal on your controller, i have 100m of microbore and fan jets. Controller on about 40 and they work great
Why don't you have a quick google before making stupid comments?

thanks, I have just done that and cleaned my own windows on full flow , no different ! (battery is fully charged and good)
Sorry if the post title is a little misleading but the problem definately seems to be with the vyair pump.
If others can use a flow of 40 with microbore and get a good spray from fan jets then that's all it can be.
The pump is 2+ years old, now I think about it has been taking longer to fill the backpack via the pump than it used to  ::)roll changing to fan jets and a new backpack has only highlighted the problem for me.

Time for a new pump, flojet or shurflo ?
