Gardiners 6mm hose
« on: July 24, 2013, 03:40:33 pm »
Ordered it Monday afternoon, on my doorstep this morning... cant argue with that, fair play.

Would pumping hot water from my kitchen tap help to soften it, as was using it today and it was tangling and kinking?

(Its seems good hose, I just need to wear it in a bit I guess)

Any tips would be great  ;D

Yeah I was hoping there was a little trick so that the first few days were plain sailing  ;)

Wind it on the reel from the middle of the roll not the outside.

If you cannot wait for it to soften with use then pumping hot water from your kitchen tap through it would probably help it become more malleable.

The other trick to try and get it to lose its 'roll memory' is to unroll it all and leave it laid out on the ground overnight in as long a straight line as possible.

I put a new roll on last week - no problems at all. I did it the other way once and pulled most of my hair out the next day.  ;D
