I was using the same as Alan until recently. But have been trying out Chemspec DFC recently and am impressed with DFC HD as a prespray and 105 as a rinse.

Yes Robin the dfc and the 105 are excellent and i used these many a time its just i use the thermadry for a huge percentage of jobs so a good covering of pureclean then picked up by craftex catalyst on the pad does most jobs until a real minger comes along and then the powerburst comes out.(oh yes with the storm too).................Alan

Still use pure clean, but using chemspecs products more regularly and very impressed.
Wasted a lot of time over the years with products that work eventually !
I want products to do what they say on the tin.

Interesting guys, I too just been trying Chemspec with good results. I'm a relative newbie still and learning all the time. One thing I've learned is to take the hype with certain products with a pinch of salt

What exactly is pureclean? The only prochem product I've used is PB which is really good but obviously harsh. Is pureclean a more general cleaner with a near neutral ph?

Pureclean is Prochems version of a microsplitter which is sodium triphosphate based. It is quite versatile and has no odour. It can be used as a prespray, extraction chem, spotter and for bonnet cleaning.
