Brush advice
« on: July 06, 2013, 07:12:52 pm »
Hi guys,

Ive just bought some window cleaning gear (pump box/DI/pole/hose)

Basically, i only do pressure washing, and am kept quite busy with it. Im not looking to build a round, or do any domestic window cleaning, and im not really looking to go out and get specific commercial window cleaning work either, but in the spec of the last three large jobs i did, they had asked me to clean the windows. Now i subbed one of the jobs out, and turned down the windows on the other two. The windows were quite considerable. So when some gear came up at a good price i bought it so i wouldnt have to turn work away. Im also going to use it to run chems through the pump to high level, and am going to be using the pole as a high level jet wash pole(adapted)

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to give you some background so you didnt think i was just ''adding it on''  ;) ;D

Im looking for advice on a decent brush(s) one for glass, a good all rounder but not something super special as it wont be getting used day in day out.

Also looking for a good stiff brush, for cladding. Needs to be quite stiff, as some of the cladding we do is minging with heavily caked on muck.

Cheers in advance

Super lite dual trim will do you for both requirements (gardiners)

We've done lots of cladding cleaning you don't need a stiff bristled brush for this sort of work and personally I find its quicker and gives better results than power washing

Darran,

Thanks mate, ill take a look at Gardiners site. I was just thinking a bit stiffer bristles, as i went and looked at one today, and i couldnt even rub some of the moss/staining off with my finger it was so caked on.

But your right about jetwashing the cladding, thats one of the many reasons i decided to get some kind of wfp set up.

EDIT: Which dual-trim?  :-\ Theres like 6 to choose from.. All these options...''plastic angle socket fitted'' i thought jet wash parts were confusing..  ;D

Usually use the mixed medium but their is a stiffer version although I have to say there is not a lot between them.

We treat an area with g101 first then scrub even on hard to move stuff once you get going with the brush and flow of pure water even the heaviest stains come off
( algae - moss - dirt ) pollution stains can be a little bit harder to get off
