How long are you supposed to flush a bran new membrane through for? is it 24 hours?

Depends what membrane you mean,I flushed my 4040 one for about two hours, maybe that over the top!

its the HF5 membrane,
its brand new though, thought u was supposed to flush them for 24 hours to remove the preservatives etc.

no i am not on a meter.
I cant remember if you're supposed to flush new membranes for a long time or not?

Fitted a new hd540404 yesterday and flushed for 2 hours. Tds is fine

thanks mate.
Ive got a leak now at the end cap on the feed side, so ive switched off now will have to look at it tomorrow.
No idea why its leaking
