12v Transfer Pump
« on: June 05, 2013, 05:20:41 pm »
Hi

Can anyone recommend a 12v transfer pump and where to get it from?

I need it to transfer water from 25ltr containers to my van mounted tank.

Many Thanks

I bought mine from gardiners a few years ago but they don't seem to sell them anymore. It was a yacht bilge pump.
It will take you about an hour filling a 250l tank with a 12v pump. They are very slow. better off pouring them in manually.

I've got a guy working with me a couple of times a week and I'm getting very close to running out of water just want a back up.

I can't manually pour the water in as I have a dog cage/kennel built on top of the tank.

I want to see you fit them in the top of a barrel.

Machine mart do 12 volt transfer pump Mark.

Also have you thought of syphoning water.

I think it was machine mart or amazon i see syphon

Good flow rate has pull handle so no sucking tubes  ;D

I used to pump water from a barrel to my backpack and used these pumps to transfer water. I would use two for a quick transfer as each pump will pump 13 liters a min.
