paid over £700.00 squid for an advert in yp.... had 4 calls from 4 different houses in villages in 4 different directions to my house.

and 2 "one off cleans"

waste of money...

i could have brought a new car for the family.... (well half a new car)

I thought Edinburgh was dear! Where abouts are you, macleod? Did you design your own ad or did Y/P do it for you?

The price came down a couple of years ago because an overlapping area got it's own Y/P, so the coverage wasn't as big as before.

The price relates to the population, and I get calls most days, so it must pay to be in a dense part of the country.

I don't think I worded that quite right, but you know what I mean.

I did my advert through Safecontractor.

YP telesales also rang me and quoted over £300 for the same size  :o

Yes that seems to be the case from some replies above.  Ill be doing the same next year.
