This works for me -
Off divert =             #21#
To divert to phone =   *21*MOBILE NUMBER#

You have to register with BT on their preferencing service for call divert, costs £3.75 per month, then you can start using the *21* service

Yes Jim please can you explain that. Sounds interesting but not very clear what you mean.

What I do is use Smart numbers to divert to my mobile (which is cheaper than BTs charges) But, depending on who and what someones ringing about I ring them back on my mobile which is FREE.

If you are really tight, get a Virgin mobile sim £15 rolling month with unlimited talk time, data and text.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.

The way I do it is through TalkTalk.

You pay £3 a month (or something like that) this is for the call divert service to be active. The you get a special bolt on thingy (again just a few quid) that allows 500 FREE minutes to the same number! I.E. your business mobile number!

I went from paying over £100 a month to just a max of £30. This includes all calls, line rental, internet, taxes, calls diverted etc.

Not sure if BT or other have this "bolt on" but worth asking!

I already had virgin but if you don't then it will cost £ 14.99 line rental
                                                                     £  2.00 Divert
                                                                     £ 16.00 talk unlimited
                                                                     £ 32.00 per month

If you don't want to use virgin mobile then you need talk unlimited extra

The trouble with diverting from virgin is that there is a ten second delay and somtimes your customers may hang up thinking there is a fault on the line or the line is dead! Stuart Clements has this problem with his

Hi Carpet Dawg...
Could you elaborate on this 'bolt on' thingy  ???
What is it and where do you get it ?

Just rang Talk Talk and its all a bit confusing...put thro to an Indian call centre and the guy told me the divert service is free, gave me the codes etc but told me I was liable for the cost of the calls. OK
I hung up and had a quick look at the Talk Talk website and it says the divert service is £4.10 per month...doesnt say if you have to pay for the calls though ?
All a bit confusing  ???

we are with talk talk and this is what we pay...copied from there web site
Call Diversion, Call Waiting & Caller Display^ - 55p per service a month
you then pay for the call from your landline to divert number, but then we have calls included for £6 per month.
They did have an offer on if you diverted to a mobile from them the calls where inclusive.

Call talktalk before 4pm (I think, maybe earlier) and you get an English call centre. Well at least you used to a year ago last time I needed to call them.

You pay for the call divert to be set up and operational on your line. Again, its only a few quid a month. THEN instead of paying for the diverted calls you receive, the minutes come off of the "500 free minutes" bolt on. So technically, you wont be paying for any diverted calls! Just the calls divert feature (few £ a month) and the bolt on (again a couple of quid).

I'm not at home for the next few days so cant get a hold of a paper bill, so not sure of the exact name of the "bolt on". I'll check when I get back but try talktalk again and you might get some luck if you speak to someone with a couple of brain cells  ;D
