Streamline 600gpd ro booster pump
« on: May 15, 2013, 07:15:21 pm »
So, ive nackered my booster pump by leaving it on to long, its a uncontinues rated one you see! Ive been topure freedom and they cant get one. they said streamline have discontinued that model of pump and power supply.

The new model is $450  :o. Im not paying that, the ro itself was only about that much! So ive been told by pure freedom to serch the internet to see if i can buy one. if not ill just buy a new ro.

So anyway, my question is before i serch the net for hours can anyone tell me where i can buy one please?

Many thanks

George

This is what I have, not as quick as a 4040 but still getting about a 1 1/2 ltr per min
No need for boosters as they are already on!

TRY THIS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE.

Have you not just burned out the transformer for the pump of your system. This what would go on continuous running of the pump.

Oh right i think i get ya now. SO you mean i might just need to replace the power supply (tranformer)? Hmmm. think i might need to test the pump and the power supply thingy to see which is at fault?!

When i took it for purefreedom to have a look at they said your better off replacing them both because sometimes you'll find if you replace one (either the pump or the power supply) within no time the other one packs up in there experience

Cheers

Yeah thats a good point. if this is the case can i not just replace the transformer (which i thought was just a power supply) with some generic one?

Thanks

Yeah, i left my booster on all day and it blew the transformer. I just took the transformer to maplins, they tested it for me just to check.
Put a new transformer on and all working again :D

I was told (afterwards) to put the booster on a timer switch to prevent blowing the transformer again)
