Removing arm from whirlaway

I need to replace the spinning arm in the whirlaway  -  any tips for this as dont want to break anything in the process

It just screws onto the center part. Right pain to get off if I remember correctly. Needto get a spanner in there too to stop the center spinning.

mine has a bolt in the middle that you unscrew. this reveals a slot that you fit a flat headed screwdriver into this locks the rotation, then just unscrew it
