WFP in the rain, again
« on: February 24, 2006, 11:25:57 pm »
This is similar to Brett Walker's thread.

Yesterday morning I had a nice Barn Conversion to do.
Good customers, I do insides too.
The lady said, "what if it starts raining?"  I told her it wouldn't affect it too much, (thinking it wouldn't rain, anyway).
Half way through, it chucked it down, but the wind was blowing from NE so only one side got soaked.  I was doing well for time, and seeing as I was doing the insides, I decided to blade at least some of the NE side, as it was drenched with rain.

Went to do the insides.  2 hours later the sun was out for a while.  NE side dried spot free!!  As did all the windows outside.
I could see most results from inside.
I'm working at .001 TDS at the moment.

It all looked great when I finished.  I even walked round the outside to check.  She asked me what I was doing?  I told her.
She said, "Well, it rains, you know!"

I wish every job went like that one.  I wasted my time blading the rainy windows.  They didn't look any different to any others.

Have had loads of this over the years...

My response to the customer, has always been ...whats the difference if i cleaned them this morning and it rains this afternoon..... although i never work in heavy rain.

We are in a profession that is controlled by the weather, to an extent.....all in all we have mortgages to pay and families to feed.

rob.
Life used to be full of up's and downs....now i hardly ever get up a ladder :) .
