II.2.1) Total quantity or scope:
Newlon Group are proposing to let Lots designated 1-8 to service
providers. The proposed contracts will each be let for a 5 + 1 year term
commencing in late 2013. The proposed scope of the cleaning services
varies from Lot to Lot but Newlon Group are seeking service providers that
can carry out cleaning services in a social or supported housing setting
and/or office cleaning. An ability to work with our staff and in close
proximity with our residents, who include vulnerable people, will be
necessary. Suppliers bidding for the communal area cleaning will be
required to: removal litter, remove bulk rubbish, remove rubbish and dog
waste from bins, sweep mop hoover and dust communal areas, remove 'sharps'
i.e. hypodermic needles, window cleaning, steam cleaning, removal of light
graffiti, removal of snow and ice on estate roads and walkways, cleaning
of light fittings and replacement of defective light bulbs, checking
operation of door entry systems, electronic reporting to Newlon, cleaning
of communal kitchens bathrooms and toilets in sheltered supported or
shared housing. Suppliers bidding for the office lot will be required to:
remove waste, suction/spot clean soft floor covering and furniture, clean
windows, sweep/mop/disinfect hard floors and cubicles, damp
wipe/wash/disinfect various surfaces, replenish consumables such as soap
and toilet rolls, load/unload dishwashers, empty and clean fridges, clean
toilets, tea points and staff kitchen, deep clean soft seating, cleaning
