A stupid question Re:leafleting wording
« on: March 19, 2013, 04:23:26 pm »
See below

TRY US OUT  CALL TODAY!!
TRY US OUT , CALL TODAY!!
TRY US OUT  & CALL TODAY!!

Which is the best way to put what I'm trying to say for some reason I feel
The first one flows the best but my other half says has to be one of the bottom 2
Before anyone says anything about try us out I'm aware that can lead to a few one offs but that's what I'm after as many payers as possible and I feel those words soften the blow a bit anyhow looking forward to replays have printer waiting to print 25,000 so no pressure. !:)

You could always put

 Try us out! Call today!

That way your emphasising both points,

Otherwise I'd definitely put a comma after the 'Try us out'

So... TRY US OUT, CALL TODAY

Or... TRY US OUT - CALL TODAY

Or... TRY US OUT! CALL TODAY

My favourite is the first one with small lettering and two exclamation marks...

I wouldnt worry.if someone wants to ring you they will not just because of the way you worded a leaflet.
Takings off all first cleans till march 7th 2014
October  total=  cleaned  extra per month
November = cleaned extra per month
Total £  so far.

As it happens, I like "try us out", as it subliminally suggests that they aren't committing themselves.  Provided you doa  good job, they'll be yours with just the usual drop offs from people who did want a one-off.  They'll call whatever you say.

As for the rest, I don't think any of the wording wouldn't work.  Plus, I always do what my wife tells me to do, so I wouldn't have a say.

Print 8,333 of each, put an identifying number on the top corner and then ask people which of the leaflets they have.

Better still, do it with three completely different types of leaflet and see which of the three gets the best response.

Vin.

P.s. Been saying things along those lines for three years and never done it...

Our leaflets are the ones we've had for years and they still work!

But just as an afterthought - I'm trialling this on my new(ish) car:

Need a window cleaner? Google "Ian Lancaster"

Go on, try it......

Also ten times the messers mate pls don't teach me about canvassing that's all I've done for ages :) I will still do it but I'm also hoping to enjoy 50 or so good paying first cleans from these leaflets

Some good Suggestions, I have just had the double ! Sent to me as an example I like it I think ill go with that one
