Gum removal brush heads
« on: March 17, 2013, 12:17:04 pm »
Where does everyone get their steel brush heads from for the steam machines?

Needing to find some with a M* thread, but its impossible. All the cup brushes ive seen are M10 or M14.. Its a nightmare.

What machine have you got Matt?

We had Osprey one's when we used low pressure and the brush seen in this clip were £30 for 10. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOrnyXAzbNc

The Miraclean steamer have larger brush heads. I've got a Miraclean to hand whenever I need to use one but all our gum job are full cleans with HP and I think low pressure is a bit tedious.

I've made people aware there will be clean stripes so why not just have the full lot cleaned. One guy weren't happy with the clean marks after we done the job and also Trevor Perry had the same issue with a job he did in Newcastle.

I dont know what machine it is mate, but its not an Osprey or a Miraclean. I think its Italian. All i know is the brushed need a M8 thread to attach them to the end of the lance.

I know what your saying about leaving clean spots, this job is Monoblock, not that dirty, and they dont want to pay for a full clean. I've made them aware.

Speak to Ian. He ordered them in for me, think straight from Osprey, not sure. But he can order them and have them post to you. These one's push on over the lance, is that what you need?

Nah I need the ones that screw on. The end of the steam lance has a male thread. All i need really is a wire cup brush, like the ones you use on an angle grinder, but all the ones from tool stores/screwfix etc. have too big of a thread.

Get the brushes and send them to me and I'll mod them to suit. Something like this would do and I could weld an m8 nut on for you

Lee, I only need the little wire brush that goes on the end of the steam lance. But that site sells some good little accessories..

Carl,

If i dont hear back from the machine supplier, i might take you up on that offer. Would it be possible to buy a load of the cup brushes with the M10 female thread and you could weld some M8 nuts on them?
