Jeepers, ladder work.
I used to get home after some days unable to hardly move. I used to do this one huge house, inside and out, with a mate which took the two of us a whole day from about 9am till about 5pm without a break. I can remember not being able to physically be able to get the ladder on the van at the end of the day without a real struggle and putting the gear back in the van was a major effort.
After a hard day using the pole, isn't it good to get in the van after the last job and sit there and think home... food.... chair..... beer... bed.
There's a window cleaner in Brighton who I see quite often, 72 years old, and still going strong and still fit and healthy. He's been window cleaning since he was 14 when he started helping his dad out. He's seen some incredible changes over the years but at least he does use a mop and squeegee. He's also had some customers nearly 50 years which I find incredible. He's also an interesting bloke to chat to as well.
