The number one vac motor on my Ninja is tripping the electrics. It was fine on my first job yesterday but tripping half an hour later on my second job. I can't see anything obviously wrong..........any ideas?

How are the motor brushes?

it may just have burnt out mate! they do, and can be ok one min then blow the next! its unlikely the brushes as it wouldn't trip the electrics! when the brushes wear down, they dont come in contact with the armature and they tend to go off intermitently
worth checking the brushes, but unlikely! any idea how many hours its done? when i had Ninjas i used a set of motors every 18 months or so

Possibly worth getting a PAT test-perhaps the resistance is starting to drop and the RCDs in the second house were a little more sensitive. At least it may flag up if you have a potential problem which needs addressing before it becomes a major problem.

As a work-around try putting your plugs in elsewhere especially in the kitchen which is often on a higher rated circuit.

It wasnt one of Ashbys new vac motors was it?, I had a pair fitted in October and one of mine has just started tripping out, I have had it checked out and it has a very low insulation reading of 0.8, the motor worked fine as long as it wasnt going through an RCD fuse box.

I have replaced many motors over the years and PAT tested many machines.
It is rare to get a machine to pass much inside the limits. I think it is the carbon in the motor housing that partially shorts the windings giving an earth leakage situation. Every machine leaks a bit to earth and if something else in the house is leaking a bit it will trip the ELD. Tellys in the old days were famous for this, they would not work properly without a good earth connection.
Try cleaning out the carbon dust from the brushes with an air blast- not everyone has a compressor but a tyre pump with a football connector will give a reasonable blast.
Sometime the winding insulation just breaks down, then there is nothing you can do about it.
