I paid the trail fee of 20 or 30 quid or whatever it was and bought a resedential area which i think i got one enqiry from although my own site was ranked as highly as the nwc minisite so i saw it as just doubling up at the top of the first page of google which for a few quid for a few months was a pretty good deal.

I dont understand you lot who are saying where are they, they have run off with my money etc ..... they offered a service and provided it , for those of you who didnt know about the google local business center or were afraid to pay someone else for simple seo on your own site.

It is obviously not a profitable business for them hence their absence , though for a few quid they did what they said they would do so what is the problem?

Would you blame an seo company who manage to optimize your site so it appears at the top of google but no customers look at your site and then ring? I think not.

same here .. paid for 2 invoices .. not had 1 for ages.

worth a go ... if you dont try these things youll never know.

yeah but the point is, they sold it not just as a first page google thing, but as a united window cleaners thing, where we could bid for national contracts etc.  also they seem to have just disappeared.  thats where the confusion is- they made so much noise to start with and now nothing

Windows cleaners united, not just seo, and they made money and run.

I don't know all the ins-and-outs, but you guys who paid, did you receive the services you paid for?

If not, be precise in explaining what you haven't had?

I'm not sure it's a case of slagging off Gav but the founders of this were on here all the time when money was being asked for. As for the fee being tax deductible, that's just stupid- buy my slx for 5k & see how much you save on your tax bill!

So, I think it's a valid question for current & potential future members-

Is the drive still there?

Are they doing what they promised- promotion wise?

Has the excitement & energy dried up, has the whole thing just gone off the boil etc?

successful in there field, not internet marketing which is the main point here!

I dont think they are slagging off charlie or Huw, I think the problem is what have been offered or what was a good idea failed with no response, people have the right to air there view new new or old, I have been in window cleaning for a few years now but new or old make no difference at all!

if you have paid money for something and it has not been delvered as stated when you bought it they have every right to moan about it, I guess you would if you paid out cash and didnt get what you was promised (and there were a few wild promises made which I knew was not acheiveable long term).

I am not in Chalies nor Huw's pocket nor do I rely on them for work never have never will again no disrespect to either of them, not sure if you do though from your comment mate. although it looks that way from reading (no disrespcted meant by that in anyway), I think they are nice blokes having spoken to them both, met charlie a few times on courses or meeting we have both been at.

At the end of the day if NWC or what it is called failed is failing then people do have the right to be annoyed if they paid for it, I know I would. would'nt you ?

Hi guys,

Long time no speak...if i'm honest i've been giving the forum a wide birth of late.

Thanks for all the replies in this thread, both negative and positive!

The NWC website was severely effected by Googles latest algorithm update on 26/04/12, just Google "Penguin Update"  for more info.

Approx. 75% of our mini-sites were either dropped from the search results altogether, some now outside page 10, or dropped by a couple of pages. Some mini-site home pages have actually been de-indexed by Google.

Basically the firm who were supplying us with the SEO for the website used some pretty spammy links, which provided us with immediate Page 1 results for almost all the mini-sites in the short term, but after the Google algorithm change have possibly killed the site in the long term. Saying, that I have made ammendments to a few of the mini-sites as a trial and some of them are now back on page 1. We will carry on working on the existing site in the hope of regaining all our page 1 positions.

With busy work schedules for both Chalie and I getting round to fixing this has had to take a back seat. We hope to have a new website up and running, which will be a bit different from the last in a few months hopefully. We would at this time welcome anyones thoughts on what you would like to see in a window cleaning directory or network website?

In regards to people losing money by advertising with NWC, nobody has been invoiced for months but all the mini-sites are still up and running. People are still getting enquiries as I've just taken a look at the admin panel this morning.

I've attached a screenshot of some of the rankings in google as of this morning....which shows the mini-sites are all still up and running.

Any questions welcomed and apologies for not getting back to you guys sooner.

Cheers,

Huw

Hi,

There's a few available. The one we use is called rank checker, which is part of the SEO Powersuite package, the free version will be more than adequate for most people.

Other good ones are majestic SEO and market samurai.

It's always nice to know if your SEO budget is working.

Cheers,

Huw

The guy comes on here with the explanation that you have been waiting for and you put out a response like that???

And looking through your posts it appears to me that you haven't even invested in this venture.

That's the problem with this forum. People come on hear with an idea that could potentially help everybody involved and people like you sit there waiting for everybody to fall on there faces.

Shame on you.
