Discount for ad in the Yellow Pages
« on: February 16, 2006, 08:28:03 pm »
I am going to place an ad in the Yellow Pages. Does anybody know about a corporate advertisement scheme, where an association negotiates a discount for its members?
Kind regards,
Arthur

Safe contractor do a scheme if you are a member. We advertise in this and
the window cleaning fed. They are good value for money especially if you
are the only company in the box

Yellow Pages have a policy of not giving discounts unless you are a nationwide advertiser and spending a shed full of money a year, these are known as national accounts, yellow pages are now a regulated company and their prices are set, this is to avoid them under cutting their rivals namely the BT Phone book and the thompson local directory

Jon T.C. here, confirms what D Woods says  ::)
Some time ago I contacted Yellow Pages, asking to name an association, which does corporate adverts, but they asked me to name the association first and then Yell would say “how they could help” …
