It will be interesting to see what others users advise.

Speaking personally I used to have 2x Super-Lite modular poles in the van for higher level work. I now do not have any Super-Lite modular poles in the van and instead have 2x Xtreme47 poles.

The Xtreme poles are a little heavier, a fraction more flexible, but generally speaking are so much faster and easier to work with. I tend to go for the lazy option at times and I found that when I had the option of both in the van I always went for the Xtreme - this helped me decide to get rid of the modular poles from my set-up.

Having said that if the ultimate in lightweight and rigidity is needed then the SL modular is still the best and on repetitive commercial work this may make enough difference.

what height are you wanting to go up to regular ?

day to day I use the extreme 18, carbon goose neck and dt sill brush, and for me it's a cracking combination

Pretty much as Alex has said. I've owned & used both beyond 50ft.

Ultimate lightness & rigidity= the SL2. However, everything else goes in the favor of the Xtreme & that minimal weight & rigidity factor of the SL2 no where near outweighs all the benefits that go with the Xtreme in all other areas.

If I was working around 50ft on a very regular basis I would pick the SL2, anything other than that would be the Xtreme.

The height I need is about 35 -40 ft  but its quite a few windows in some factories and offices I clean
There may be some more factoids on the horizon soon so want something lighter and more rigid than the slx I currently use for them

I would say that the Xtreme would suit your needs better. The SL2, whilst very strong for it's intended use in-situ, is very fragile everywhere else & does need to handled carefully. The Xtreme however is as strong as anything else out there, is telescopic, has internal hose (up to approx 50 odd feet) & if you remove the stop tape can be used as any length pole by removing sections at will.

pretty much as said in the above posts. Modulars are good but you don't have a halfway option, pole hose has to be on the outside and sections have to be stored as you break it down. Xtreme is almost the same as a normal telescopic pole and is more versatile and faster to use. Before the Xtreme came along there was nothing to touch the S2 modular pole.
