Somerset????
« on: February 03, 2013, 09:23:49 pm »
Anyone in the Somerset with Gardiners clx or slx poles that would want to meet me so that I can have a butchers?

My current ionics scaffold pole is on its last legs, well, it was on its last legs ages ago  ;D

Before I take everyones advice on here that they are the best to buy, Id like to actually see/feel one.

I was gonna buy a unger 24ft bad boy on Friday for £130, but decided against it at the last minute  8)

Cheers

James , you sound just like me mate , you like to see what you are getting , i am in plymouth and have the clx 27 , prior to that i had a 24 foot hybrid extel , both very good but i do rate the gardiner pole as top in terms of money , but plymouth is a fair way to drive to feel a pole , i am lucky as Alex is 40 miles one way and Varitech is 40 miles the other , i can feel the goods rather easily !

Dont wish to sway you , but you will not go wrong with a clx 27 , also purchase the butt caps for the next 2 sections down and you can break your pole down as you require , the slx i cannot comment on as stupidly i never remember to sample when i go down , its more rigid and lighter and i am in no doubt better , but if you only use your scaffold pole at the mo then the clx is your best bet by far , get the dual trim medium mixed bristle brush and that will set you up for easier life from the outset , Alex knows as he still goes on the tools , only 1 day a week though , bone idle git that he is  ;D ;D ;D

Yeah Plymouth is a bit of a mission from here. Where is Gardiners based then? Heres a picture of me on a job where I could really do with a longer pole. Rinsing the tops here are tough  ;D

AND STRETCH THOSE ARMS !!!!!!

James , get the clx 27 , and the 2 base caps for the next sections down , you will not regret it , if you dont like the pole i will give you what you laid out for it no questions , thats how confident i am that you will love it .

I dont buy gear on the off chance , i am very shrewd with my dough , and gardiners is in St Austell, the wrong side of the water !!!
