pressure washer service
« on: January 03, 2013, 11:54:58 am »
Hi Guys
I have a Honda pressure washer GX390. I use it mainly in the spring and summer months, a couple of driveway jobs a week. How often do you think it needs servicing? And is it easy to do yourself?
Cheers.

Tom

At least once a year, easy to do the basics yourself, change both oils, spark plug, air filter, check valves for any damage and replace if needed, check fuel filer, also check pull cord for any wear & tear, should take about an hour.

Thanks Roger. Guess it needs one before it kicks off again.

I have the same pressure washer and I get mine serviced every 50 hours of working time.  It costs me £60 a service. It never let's me down. I might be paying £60 a little too often, but if I lose just half a days work, it's £150. That's 2 & 1/2 services. Because my machine never let's me down, I think it's value for money.

Ours have just been serviced, they get such a hammering that I get them done about four or five times each year. Keep on top of the servicing and they wont let you down mechanically!

As the last 2 posts have stated, keep on top of your maintenance with your kit and it should serve you well.
