Anyone tell me anyting about this machine?
« on: February 09, 2006, 03:48:23 am »
Hi all,

I've recently come by this machine, can anyone tell me anything about it apart from its ex-servicemaster.

Its a lovely user friendly little beast with good water capacity, great heater and powerfull solution pump.

Anyone seen one before if so where could I get spares if needed?

I was using a prochem machine but this knocks socks off it even if it is twenty years old!!! I know it needs a clean as well!!!

Any help appreciated.

,

Kind regards,

Jason.

Sorry,

Forgot to say this machine with its twin vacs is leaving the carpets and upholstery much dryer than my first machine. Always a good thing for the customer!!!

Kind regards,

Jason.

Hi Jason,
I have one of these machines which is called a Tcm 403 bought from Techniclean about 8 years ago, and have not seen one for ages!

I must agree they are an excellent machine and although I have an extracta excell, i much prefer the old one even though it's a bit basic.

One good thing about them is that they are pretty light, esp compared to the extracta!
Wanted to buy another recently but cannot find anyone who sells them.Techniclean said they were waiting on a new model but do not seem to be very forthcoming.....!

All i can say is that they are easy to use and use same parts as any other machine.

Cheers
steve

Looks like a good design of a portable.  Puts the switches on the top and it would be perfect.

While these mcs perform the same as any other in series twin vac mc with a 100 psi pump they are a complete pain th service as the hole to get at the guts is not very generous and the hoses are usually so old that they are rigid. I always manage at least two skinned knuckles. A local cleaner uses two of them and prefers them to others.

Your're right trevor, It's a fine art to get the motors out, but i guess that's the price you pay for a compact machine, i've found turning the machine completely upside down is the best way, but it does help if you have small hands :o

Hi all,

Thanks for your comments and information, most interesting.

I actually got 2 of these free when I bought a second hand ninja a few months ago. The person needed the space and was going to throw them in a skip so I said I'll take them away and see if they still worked (and they both do!)

They're a great little machine and a real pleasure to use. I see what you're saying about access to components though, will definately lose some knucle skin!

I now use them rather than the ninja or steempro even if they're not as pleasing on the eye!

If these were still being made and were a little more powerful I'd buy one new and recommend other porty users to do the same.

Thanks again.

Kind regards,
Jason.
