Clarke CBM240E Pressure Switch
« on: December 23, 2012, 02:35:23 pm »
I have just installed my Clarke CBM240E pump. For those of you who use this pump please can you help me.
I use a timer valve for my water in so when the valve shuts off the water (i.e when the time has been reached) I was assuming that the pump would automatically sense this (because of the pressure switch) and stop. However it seems that isn't the case.......it continues to run for approx 30 seconds and then stops but the red alarm LED lights up.
I haven't installed a non return valve because the timer valve should act in the same way.

Please help

If you are cutting water supply off, the pump will continue to run for 30 seconds or so. The red light indicates there is a problem, ie no water, once the water is turned back on, it will sence it and restart the pump.
