« on: December 30, 2012, 11:22:44 pm »
Would you guys give a idea of what you are charging for Deep Cleans (without Carpets and Oven).
Could you give me an idea on Prices for 1,2,3,4 bedroomed Domestic properties.
I currently charge £15 per hour but have noticed in this area prices are going downward.(Bristol)
Any help appreciated. Just to confirm this is for DEEP CLEANING

I work on about £12 / hour but won't state this and only quote. We don't get the work when the customer is a price shopper because the area is loused out with immigrants working and claiming.

As BDCS said the way to price it is to work it out on how long it will take times your hourly rate to give a total cost.
Personally the people/ clients who use cleaners who charge £6 an hour are not worth working for I know its frustrating but you just have to persevere with it.
We had a situation where we lost a large contract 2 years ago as someone had come in at a stupidly low price and I was asked to match which I wasnt prepared to as I knew the site couldnt be done for that cost. Anyway we recently were begged to come back at the cost I gave them as the new company werent up to the job and they were a national company ;D

Hi there,

Happy New Year to you all.

I find every area charge’s different prices, I have done some research and found that charges starts from £18, £15, £12, £10 and £6. I charge my customers £10 but think should start charging them £12 but am afraid I may loose my customers if I charge more, I had people calling me for quote’s, and then they call me back later to say if I would clean for £6.

Survival is the name of the game; we are competing against other cleaning businesses as well as other public doing cash in hand jobs for lot less, trying to but us out of business.

Call around your area and see what other company’s charges to give you an idea.

Thankyou for responding Rita. I actually had a call just after Christmas asking if I would do 2 hrs Cleaning at a after Christmas party for £10.
Not £10 per hour...ten pounds for the Job.......
