What's your tricks to remove years of soot / diesel fumes from narrow guage steam train off a buildings paintwork.
A painter friend want's ghe building cleaned before he paints it.

If its being painted i would wet blast it with soda. My yard is on a farm with a railway running through it with a level crossing outside the farm house - the rust from the brakes is a real pain on the sills and conservatory roof

I assume you don't have a wet blaster. You need to remove the oils with a degreaser and the soots will be removed mechaically with the washer. TFR would be fine

Nice one.
That's what I was thinking of using, but in the past I've encountered some problems with completly getting the soot off, but as is's getting painted, I'm not too concerned.
Tfr mixed with extra degreaser.
