My first vehicle was a bicycle ;D  I used to ride round with my ladder on my shoulder and a bucket strapped on the carrier.  Got fresh water at each stop from the first customer.

That's dangerous.  It's quite a long fall from those penny farthings.

Yes, but the ladder was very handy for getting on and off ;D

And there were thousands of terrace houses in those days - all built straight on the street with no front garden - I could just ride along, stop at every customer (and I had nearly all the houses in any row) lean against the wall and clean the upstairs window while I was still sitting comfortably on my specially upholstered saddle ;D

1984 Mini City E (owned from new and taken off the road in 2000)
1985 Austin Maestro van (got stolen, made my day when I saw it gone!)
1984 Ford Fiesta (cracking little car, only sold it when I saw the next vehicle on the list)
1988 Ford Fiesta van (E reg - brilliant motor, which was stolen and recovered intact. Gutted when insurance company wrote it off)
1988 Ford Fiesta van (F reg - reliable but ratty looking - chassis was like a patchwork quilt!)
1999 Ford Fiesta van (current van).

I used my car for 2 months whilst i decided if window cleaning was for me, now dont laugh but......

It was a Renault Clio Sport 182 and was about 1 year old   8)
Also i only purchased a triple ladder, 3 metre  sections, this on the top of the car looked insane!!!! LOL

Then decided window cleaning was good so got a van had a few over the years, Doblos, Berlingo, Combo, Connect and a brand new Vivaro 4 years ago.
Oooooo that is shiny!!
