Santander is the best by far at the mo. i signed over to them just last week. Never any hidden charges for online cas or cheque payments. And 12 months free.

£25 a month covers all charged for banking - make sure they switch you BEFORE the 2 years run out

i started off using free banking from alliance and leicester, which has now changed to santander. The monthly charge works out at £5 which is ok. All has been good with this service. I use the post office to deposit cheques and cash, which is free and ensures quickest credit to your account.

I feel your pain .. exactly same happened to me.

Call your manager and ask for your account to be changed into something called "Advantage Business Account"

You have to sign a few forms for the upgrade.

This account has a monthly fee based on turnover .

The monthly fee is just £25 if your annual turnover is under £100,000 and £55 if it’s between £100,000 and £250,000.

no other charges for day to day banking ....unless you use your overdraft then interest extra.

also noticed they pay interest on credit balances at a rate of 0.05% ..... so for £1 MILL you will earn £500 a year !!!  ;D

£30-£50 a month , must do something about this but they are only 10 mins away,
all other banks are in town and costs to park so ends up costing same
