Website advice?
« on: November 16, 2012, 12:09:54 pm »
Hi All,

New here - looks like a great resource for cleaners!

Reason I joined up (apologies if this is in the wrong place btw), is because I was hoping you might be able to advise me on a website for my cleaning business.

I have been trading for a few months and it is going OK so far, but think a website would be now a good idea. From my research I understand I can either a hire a firm and pay a one off fee, or pay monthly. What do people recommend/how much have you paid for your website?

Also what should I be looking out for? Want something that is going to be good quality.

Thanks!
Susie

Make sure you own the domainame (www.yourname.co.uk)
Make sure you own the website some of these cheap companies charge just a monthly fee but ifbyou stop you lose the site this is a definite No No as you lost everything that way.

Depending on your budget would depend on how far you want to go around the £500 mark would get you a small 5page site with seo (search engine optimisation ) included

These prices will go up depending on what you need to achieve online.

I would avoid cheap websites as they are like placing a needle in a haystack (very hard to find)

I have just noticed I'm in the section but hope this helps

Most if all own the domain name and site that way if it does go wrong you can change it without losing it all :)
If your not willing to learn, No one can help you, If you are determined to learn, No one can stop you ;)
