hi

where i live there's lot's of high ceiling 3-4 storey buildings like in photo below, that i find are a little bit too high for me to work comforatably with my 50mm alloy poles and hence i'm turning away quite a lot of work. can anyone who uses carbon fibre poles confirm that jobs like shown in the photo below (which i would say are 3 1/2 floors high taking into account the basement) are easily dooable with carbon poles? and also has anyone got any reccomendations on the best/cheapest 50mm carbon poles?

Hard hats,walkway cordoned off(do you need permission to close a footpath?),risk of loose slates damaging cars etc,risk of unclipping sections of gutter,risk of dislodging downpipe,risk of breaking gutter clips.

My mind is made up on this gutter cleaning now,if i can`t put my hands on it one way or another then i`ll leave it to chancers(no offence meant).

Truck mounted cherry picker if access problem is solved,off the top of my head, £280 for a single house,discounted for multiples.

Brilliant if any of you guys experienced in this work would comment,i`m guessing.

I don`t think i`m guessing saying that carbon gutter poles at that height are near uncontrollable whilst sucking.

I know the weight isn`t the biggest problem but actually getting the sucking tool to where you want it can not be easy,in fact it has to be damn hard making adjustments in directions etc.I`d like to see a demo of someone successfully using the dig out/agitator tool at that height.You tube is full of video`s of guttervacs doing the simplest of tasks and yet they still make it look hard.The Ionics video of that Upkeeper machine would put anyone off,turning a 20 second job into 20 minutes.

got one with alloy poles and TBH it's a nightmare working with it. Most gutters have tiles  overhanging the gutter and sections not fitting in.

yeah that's what i;ve been looking at, do use these poles? do they handle bits of tile going down etc without wearing out very quickly?

That's me, and they are Gardiners Superlight base sections. No wear problems. Had them three or four years now. Vac wore out though.

yes i use these poles and the numatic vac. I bought the system 2 weeks ago, so far so good, very happy with that!

what height of poles do you comfortably work at with these carbon poles? i was thinking of getting 42' of poles, but they're very expensive so i don't want to buy more than i am going to be able use.

also i use 50mm vacuum hose, i see that these poles are a bit thinner. with my alloy poles i use a jubilee clip to attach the poles to the hose, what do you use for these?
