Hi chaps. I have a problem with a leak on the trolley. Just a steady drip when I turn the pump on until about five minutes after the pumps gone off. I have spoken to pure freedom who advised tightening and loosening all of the connections which hasent stopped the problem. Driving to their offices is not ide as it means a missed day of work and 30 quid fuel.
Any advise greatly appreciated. If there's one thing this has tought me it's gets your system from a place nearby!

Hi  G.Brookes,

I have freedom trolley in bits at mo ;D

Now using pump box from daqua.
http://www.daqua.co.uk/pumps_controllers.htm

I had drips from pump on freedom trolley and disconnected hoses of blue connectors on pump.

Then undid blue pump connectors, used white ptfe plumber tape, wind around blk pump screw thread, then screw blue connectors back on to grind in white tape.

Undo blue connectors and take off again and then put on abit more white tape then screw blue connectors back on properly.

Then hoses back onto blue pump connectors but I used jubilee clips so can screw on tightly and take off easy if ever needed not like them o rings ::)

Hope this helps, I think freedom trolley is great but a real pig when things go wrong as everything is hard to get to.

I once sent my trolley back to pure freedom when the battery packed up and got them to change battery, pump and controller while they were at it.

They sent tnt courier to my place to collect and sent back when done, think it was turned around in two days :)

If your not doing so may i suggest using your trolley as a vanmount system I was, using 100 m 6mm microbore hose.

So much easier work wise and on the back; i can't belive how long i pulled trolley around 6 years :'(

I hope this helps re pump problem as i couldn't get that video on you tube to work.

ah thanks mate thats really helpful.  I do aim to eventually use it as a van mount but need to save up as i want to get the water tank securely fitted and I also need to sort out how i'm gonna get the water out of the van as most of the places where i work, i'm not comfortable to leave the van doors open.
i'll get trying your tips this weekend, cheers

No prob, G.Brookes.

Just to let you know I use 10 barrels, have not got tank works fine.

I use 100 mtr microbore, on my clx 22 ft pole i have aqua-dapter this saves 25% roughly on water usage, also use fan-jets which i find a bit more economical on water.

If you don't like fan-jets you can get 1mm pencil jets from gardiners and if alex is not too busy he will fit them for a small charge.

These are good for saving water.

I don't have problem with water barrels, fit nice and snug in van lined up don't move about i also have bulk head in my ford escort van.

You do what suits you mate.
Just letting you know how i do it incase it's of use.

Hi  Tony,

Did you mean run backpack as a vanmount system?

If so maybe.

There was a video on you tube of a guy who had shureflow backpack and disconected pipework so he could put pipe directly into barrel and not have to keep pouring water from barrel into backpack.

You could speak to alex at gardiners about this but he would say you would invalidate your warranty numptyizing the backpack.

You could ask him if it would pump through 100 mtr hose reel though and if so, you could pour barrels into backpack, would get tiring though.

Lee

I didnt mean take it apart i meant just leave it in the van and keep topping up

Is the pump on a back pack powerful enough ?

Is that not what you do ?

cheers

Hi Tony.

No not backpack.

Freedom trolley which has 100 psi shurflow pump, this is the pump most guys use for a vanmount.

Now using this pumpbox.
http://www.daqua.co.uk/pumps_controllers.htm

Only been using today but happy with so far.

As said you would be better of contacting alex gardiner where you bought it.

Shurflow back has 40 psi pump and guy was running a hose reel of that, on you tube, sorry but find video on you tube.
