Yeah, like gto said, just as well to check that all is working correctly before you REALLY need it. Tried mine last week when there was a little cold snap, sometimes I just heat the water up a bit to keep the hoses nice and supple otherwise they tend to get annoyingly rigid and coily (not sure if that's a word)  ;D

My hair gets coily sometimes to.
