Hi chaps

Do you include cleaning out the gutters on a conny roof clean, if you do is there an extra charge or do you include it in the price.

I know it looks 10 times better if you do but they can be difficult get at sometimes.

Yes always
The trick is to word it in such a way that they think you are doing extras for them
For example I would say "the price wil be £??? This includes finials, roof, inside and outside of gutter, all frames and glass, oh I also check the downpipe for blockages and all chemicals are included as well"
This always works for me and always make good money on roof cleans, it helps to sound confidant when explaining as most people will be a bit hesitant to let you loose on something they have spent thousands on if you um and arr your way through the quote

Out of experience, i always check the gutters arent sagging, or the water isnt pooling at all. When cleaning the roof, you use a lot of water, and if the gutters are not draining ok, there can be a lot of weight sitting in the gutter, which can end up pulling the gutter off!!!

no i dont, normally you cant see in them from the ground, its a messy time consuming job  and the custy wont even know if its been done or not, if they request it then thats different and extra!

if customer requests a clearance then yes and i charge accordingly.

i will clear if i think it will give me a problem.

i dont unless they ask me to.  i just mention it explicitly by saying that includes the finials, all the panels, the windows and the outside of the gutters.

i never clean em out!i always hated gutter clearing so i dont ever do them these days!ive got plenty of work!!

i would advise gutters to be checked free of charge first, then if there is any moss etc on the conny explain that the moss and debry whilst cleaning the roof will be pushed into the guttering which will cause a blockage and could cost £### to repair. offer them a decent price and away you go

clean prices not everybody wants the same thing or want to pay the price for a deep clean.

i have done very few gutter clearances on cons i clean and get repeat work from the same people
every year...i must be doing something right.

there is also another old saying....dont cut off your nose to spite your face....as my nan used
